Our founder

Holland Lowe, a community activist and Christian woman, became troubled by the problems of hunger and profound lack of services to needy families in her mountain community. She realized that low-income families, seniors living on a fixed income, homeless people including teenagers, disabled people, and single parents were often overlooked and ignored. She opened her heart and Operation Provider in 1989 and has worked tirelessly to bring help and hope to 13 communities.
